What is Reiki therapy?

Reiki therapy is a spiritually based hands on treatment that is used for stress reduction, relaxation and healing. We are all made up of energy, and sometimes stress, physical illness, or traumatic experiences can impact the flow of our energy. Events that cause distress can erode and train our bodies for physical ailments.

Reiki is helpful for children, adults, animals and all other living things. This is because all living things are made up of energy, so all living things may benefit from energy healing. Signs that you may benefit from Reiki therapy include:

  • Headaches & Migraines
  • Chronic Pain
  • Autoimmue illness, such as Lyme Disease
  • Chronic Inflammation
  • Difficulty concentrating
  • Panic attacks
  • Feeling “stuck”
  • High levels of stress

How does it work?

Sessions are conducted with an individual either sitting up or lying down. Unlike massage therapy, you are fully clothed for a Reiki session.

A Reiki session begins with as assessment of each of your 7 main chakras (energy centers). This tests for blockages or imbalances that may be impacting your physical or emotional health. This helps give the therapist an idea of areas that may need special attention to improve your overall health.

After the assessment, the therapist then uses his/her own life force energy by a non-invasive lying of hands over your body. This helps to heal and balance any blocks or imbalances that you may have.
